The Irish Government have announced free access to remote working hubs

About the scheme:

A new scheme for remote workers in Ireland has gone live this week. The government has announced a new voucher scheme that gives remote workers FREE access to remote hubs across the country.

How to apply:

Any remote worker in Ireland can register at connectedhubs.ie or on the app, and will receive 3 free days of co-working at any of the hubs listed between now and August.

Who’s eligible:

Whether it is your first time using remote work facilities or you’re a current hub user, you can receive a voucher that gives you access to about 10,000 “hot desks” to work at in digital hubs nationwide.

What it entails:

“Connect Hubs” is an app that allows workers to reserve a desk at their nearest co-working hub. A day pass at a remote working space can typically cost between €15-20, this new scheme gives workers the opportunity to try out different hubs for free. There are 242 centers available to “try before you buy”, many of which offer a variety of cool facilities and events.

“I believe many will see it is a much better option for them than working from the kitchen table or facing a long commute. They may also decide that the hubs in our wonderful regional towns and villages would make the option of relocating, or moving home, a viable one.” – Minister Humphreys
